Dealer Guide
Selling in Person
Dealer cash and trade offers are usually a fraction of the visible market price. Cavrino estimates a realistic range so you can walk into a show or local store with better expectations.
Typical dealer range table
These are estimated ranges. Card condition, exact variant, local demand, and dealer inventory can change the offer.
| Tier | Cavrino Price | Expected cash | Expected trade |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low Tier | Under $100 | 50% to 60% | 65% to 75% |
| Mid Tier | $100 to under $1,500 | 70% to 75% | 80% to 85% |
| High Tier | $1,500 and up | 75% to 85% | About 90% |
Why cash is lower
- Dealers need room for grading risk, condition disputes, and time-to-sale.
- Lower-ticket cards usually get wider spreads because handling time matters more.
- Cash offers are the fastest exit, so they include the biggest dealer margin.
Why trade runs higher
- Store credit keeps dollars inside the dealer's inventory.
- Higher-end cards often get closer to market on trade than on cash.
- Trade ranges still move with liquidity, demand, and how easy the card is to resell.
